Acupuncture the new Medicine

by rocdragon, (http://rocdragon.shoe.org/)

Dear Friend,

Good Morning! Okay that sounds more chirper than I look or feel. In general there are no complaints, as I am creating a wonderful space to just be. As of last week I started an acupuncture treatment, main focus: Candida, heat and dampness. Okay so the ironic part is that this weeks treatment hurt. I didn't expect it, at least not to the degree it happened.

My Doctor, love her by the way good friend, repeats this line as if a mantra each time I cry out as the needle goes in, "Very Good. That is wonderful!" The first needle in my left foot, the four gates, surprised me but it was the two heat points and the top of my head that kept me guessing. Eventually I let out a laugh as Ann said, yet again, "That is good, we are moving the Chi."

I responded with, "You are not inspiring confidence." Then the laughter came. It is all good, healing and wonderful my chi shot through the body to help circulate where it needs to be. The more pain, apparently in chinese medicine, the better. I tried to understand that concept considering the western medicine I grew up with preaches the opposite. Ann offered a story, yeah parables, to open the mind to this possiblity of pain equaling healing.

A couple in China had a child who was born paralyzed. Seeking help for their only child, the couple went to their local doctor. They placed the baby on the table and the acupuncturist began to apply needles to points. Instead of taping the needles in to touch chi gradually, the doctor twisted them deeply. The baby screamed, and kept screaming with each needle and twist.
The parents sat holding each other, powerless to help their child. The acupunturist did not stop or let up with the screams of the child, instead she pushed the needles deeper until the pain was too much and the child reached up and pulled the needle out.

That is the point, you see, healing begans with understanding that your energy is prevalent and must move. Stagnation comes when we do not practice meditation, exercise and eating healthy. If a child can be cured from paralyzation then I can be, no. I am cured from candida.
Give it up for pain and love two great forces, one lets me know where the problem is and the other heals it.

Today I feel somewhat tired, my food intake is off but I am healing and that is all that matters.

Have a blessed day.
~Rochelle
